Sunday 28th September 2008
Beachy Head & Seven Sisters

So many birds are being seen along this stretch of coastline at the moment that we thought we had better get down there again and see what's going on. We hoped to see a passing Honey Buzzard, but it was not to be. We did see two Ravens that flew over us making a cronking noise as they went and two Sparrowhawks having friendly mid air fights.
Belle Toute lighthouse has a new owner and is wreathed in scaffolding while renovations are done. We really hope that they make a good job of it as the building has looked pretty shabby for a long time. The new owners intend to open the lighthouse as a visitors centre and a B&B.

Visibility out to sea was not too good

The tide was out as we walked back along the seafront to the bike
