Brighton Pier
We managed to dodge heavy showers all the way to Brighton and parked the bike
right at the Palace Pier. As we arrived, so did the Starlings and we watched
them swarming around until they went into roost under the pier. The murmuration
didn't last too long this evening though, possibly due to the very windy
conditions but the backdrop of the stormy sea made this jaw-dropping spectacle
even more exciting.
If you want to see the starlings yourself, just arrive at the pier about an hour
before sunset in lots of warm clothes and wait for them. A flask of hot soup
would make the whole thing even more enjoyable.
