Owl pellet dissection
We are fairly sure that this is a pellet from a Tawny
owl.
It is the regurgitated indigestible parts of the owls prey.
After a soaking in water and disinfectant for half an hour, the grizzly task can
commence
First the big stuff
Then the smaller bones and dung beetle shells
Then examine and sort out the skeleton
Finally revealed, the remains of a wood mouse
