Scrapbook ~ Wildlife walks throughout the year Buddha said, 'when
walking, just walk'. He meant that the act of walking should allow you to empty
your thoughts, not dwell on or regret the past and not to worry about the future
but to allow the present time to be the object of your full concentration. That
can be accomplished at Thorney. It's quiet, peaceful, the boats all slip past
gently, the sea laps around, the seabirds call, time is marked by the chimes of
rope against mast. Stress diminishes, the urge to kill recedes. You slow down,
your mind stops wandering and you find yourself in the arms of mindfulness and
tranquillity. Time passes. Time stops. Lots of lost time passes. All is good.
