Long Man of Wilmington

For years we have walked along the South Downs, right past the
Long Man of Wilmington without taking a close up look at him. We also see him in the distance whenever we go to Arlington Reservoir. So today we thought we would go directly to the village of Wilmington and visit the old chap.

You can't walk on the Long Man due to soil erosion, but you can get right up to the base of it.

In the churchyard at Wilmington is this huge 1600 year old yew tree.

The church also has this beautiful painted glass window with pictures of moths and butterflies all over it.
