Sussex Scrapbook ~ Wildlife walks throughout the year
Green Man
Saturday 12th April 2014
Pagham Harbour
7.5 miles

We took the long route down to Pagham and had a great ride on the bike as it's got a brand new tyre on the back. We had hoped to see the Hoopoe and Pied Flycatcher that had both been reported there but of course we had no luck. What we did have though was a very relaxing stroll from Church Norton round to the North wall looking at everything and then a fast march back to our start point for the exercise. We also got our first call of a Cuckoo for the year, although we never got to actually see it.

The tiny church/chapel at Church Norton.

A Wren scarpers when it realises it's being watched.

A Pheasant poses like royalty when it realises it's being watched!

A distinct lack of hillage (is that a word?) in this area.

Very local ice cream. It came from 2 miles away!

An indication of the air purity here.

A very confiding Chaffinch showing off all of his colours.

Take the time to read the countryside code for yourself and please stick to it at all times.
