Pulborough Brooks
Time for another visit
to one of our favourite Sussex sites. We tried to get there by train today but
they were all cancelled because of engineering works, so we got the bike out and
braved the icy weather once again. It was well worth it, as the place was very
quiet, and the mixture of bright sunshine, frost and mist made everything look
very special. We watched as a sparrowhawk glided across the south brooks,
sending up lapwings and wigeon as it went. The colourful sunset came as we
walked back along the Arun and it was a beauty! We finished the visit off with a
London Pride while warming up in front of the fire at the Oddfellows Arms.
